QTI Precision Mfg (Mark Thompson)
On December 4, 2009, the ACS Robotics Team lost a valuable component, Mark Thompson. Mark Thompson was a father, mentor, and friend. Mr. Thompson was pivotal in our success in the robotics competition. He provided key insight, know-how, and the tools to create most of our robot’s metal components. He was our quiet encourager. We will never forget that Mr. Thompson was one of two non-team members that came out to watch us at Southern Poly Tech. He gave up his entire Saturday to cheer on the team. Mr. Thompson will be deeply missed by those closest to him, but he will also be remembered for his encouraging words and his selfless attitude. To honor Mr. Thompson, the ACS Robotics Team has named its robot “Mark I”. Mr. Thompson had planned to go with the team to Auburn,
